Phaup Family, Zoe - One Year, Amherst, VA

One full year. Of wonder, excitement, joy, and anticipation…and of two parents watching someone experience things for the first time in their lives. While I was out of the country during Zoe’s official 1-year celebration, our time together later in the month provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate her first year and her many changes, expressions, and small wonders that such a tiny life consists of on a daily basis. So grateful for this beautiful evening with the three of you, for our many memories captured over the years, and for yet another opportunity to be a part of this milestone in your family’s life. Until the next one!!

Newborn Session, Delello Family, Lynchburg, VA

At-home sessions may just be a new favorite of mine, especially when it comes to working with families like these. Danika has been a dear friend of mine for years, and I have loved watching the process of her falling in love, to getting married, to now starting a family of her own with her wonderful husband Jared. To see you both working together to give your precious son a home environment where he is loved and cherished is truly inspiring. Thank you both for inviting me to be a part of this new phase along your family’s journey.

Everyday Portraits, Brinly Family, Forest, Virginia

The best kind of early summer days are spent with families like these. I think these photos capture the essence of our time spent together…the laughter, the smiles, lingering embraces, and even those quiet moments in-between. Steven and Whitney, I loved watching the way you interacted with you beautiful children, even though they have been with you for so short amount of time. I know the kind love you offer will only continue to expand as you open your hearts to welcome the newest member of the Brinly family later this year. Thank you for letting me commemorate this special time in your family’s lives by capturing all of this.

Wedding, Chad & Monica, Cousiac Manor - Lanexa, VA

There isn’t much I love more then traveling to new places combined with capturing the wedding of a long-time friend of mine. With a laid-back approach to their day, Chad and Monica’s wedding near the coast of Virginia ended up being such a sweet time celebrating with dear family and friends. With beautiful cloud coverage to work with, beautiful flowers and details assembled by the bride and family themselves, and a welcoming environment, I felt right at home between these two families coming together to celebrate this couple’s marriage. Chad and Monica, thank you both for inviting me to take part in your life together as a couple. I hope your marriage continues to be as beautiful as your wedding day was!
